The Wine Cellar‘s 2010 Summer Dinner Series ends Wednesday with a meal featuring basil and tomatoes.

“It hasn’t been the ideal growing season for tomatoes, but there are still some great ones out there,” said Craig Cyr, co-owner and executive chef of the Wine Cellar & Bistro.

Local heirloom tomatoes will be highlighted in this five-course dinner.

“We try to focus on seasonal and local products,” Cyr said.

The meal is $45 per person or $60 with optional wine pairings.

For this notice, I wanted to get a little more information than what was provided on The District‘s website. I called the Wine Cellar and was able to get the phone number of the chef. I feel that his insight adds to the post.
